So I’d been working in a great advertising agency in London for almost 5 years, I loved the city, loved my friends, but for some reason there was something that was holding me back. I was happy… but I wasn’t that happy. I had itchy feet and I didn’t know why.
I’d considered moving to Australia, moving to Amsterdam, Germany, up north… and finally on a bit of a whim I decided to go somewhere totally unknown, with a culture and language completely unknown to me. I was off to learn Spanish in Latin America.
The amount of times people said to me – ah I’m so jealous, I wish I could do something like that – of course you can!!! The hardest part is making that first step, booking that flight, and then the rest has no option but to fall into place.
I’ve been away for a while now and have learnt so many things that I want to share – so here’s a blog with all my travel tips… my favourite hidden gems as well all the best touristy spots, plus if you’re ever unfortunate enough to need to know how to cope with a stolen passport – so I hope you enjoy following Hats around the world x
